Description

When you depress the clutch pedal, the clutch fluid pipe (or clutch hose) transfers the hydraulic fluid into the clutch system to disengage the clutch. Due to its very low ratio of expansion to pressure, this hose has proved to be ideal for use on flexible lines in competition vehicle braking and clutch systems providing a desirable hard pedal with reduced travel. Ah, yes requires "some force" to push all those metal fingers back can't quite remember think I jammed the big part against the car(Not plastic clip? I found that I had accidentally routed the pipe over rather than under an air conditioner line but disconnected it from the M/C and positioned it correctly.

You've probably no chance, I didn't even try I just replaced slave and master so everything was new. Bearing in mind the master and slave cylinders seem absolutely fine, it's just the coupling that's damaged I'm thinking of just cutting the pipes (I think they afre 8mm? Guess what, the little rubber bung has been sitting in my oil drain pan for two months, after two oil changes as well. But Fiat have used an aluminium case with stainless steel spring fingers inside to retain the fitting.Use copper grease on the fitting to coat the stainless spring fingers and it might come apart next time, but don't hold your breath. Care must be taken in fitting to ensure that the hoses do not contact any moving part under conditions of extreme suspension travel and/or full steering lock. And might have used a spanner over the pipe to give more pushing power on the rear of the mating part. Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). I did find it was hard then just snapped together, only to find I had routed the pipe over rather than under near the bulkhead but was able to wiggle the whole thing to the point of being correct.

Designed for under bonnet use with push in fittings secured with worm drive clamps or similar fittings in smaller sizes i. You can you tube how to release the connector bit after years of salt grit etc it could be almost impossible to separate? We also have a massive range of lubrication spares, crankshaft drive spares, and timing control parts. Please also ensure that you have the necessary tools, knowledge and experience before working on fuel, brake and clutch and systems. We have a full range of car parts for other repairs or servicing on your car, from service, engine, transmission, exhaust, electrics, fuel and emissions, braking systems, and cooling and heating parts.

The aluminium corrodes against the stainless and the considerable expansion of aluminium oxide = a ruined fitting that will never separate. Mainly used for brake and clutch lines where, due to its small size, the weight penalty is not too significant. I have the other pipe to replace with the slave cylinder due to corrosion where it meets the slave cylinder?

The Fiat "Quick Release" connector for the clutch line suffers a classic example of disimilar meta corrosion. The only thing is that I can't move the plastic collar on the fitting to disconnect; has anyone got any hints please? However, BSP and NPTF are defined by the bore of the hose they fit, hence a ½” BSP fitting fits a ½” hose. Stainless steel tube, Kunifer pipe, stainless steel braided TFE brake and clutch hose (with and without black PVC cover), fuel hose with neoprene cover or stainless braided outer, Acetylene and master cylinder gravity feed tube.

It appears that moisture/road-salt has entered around the joint and seized it together, possible expanding in the process and cracking the connector.
