Despite the improved bass, ambient noise is still clear thanks to the open-ear design. Many noise-cancelling headphones have a 'transparency' mode that uses a microphone to transmit external sound to your ear, but this doesn't give the same directional awareness you get from bone conduction headsets. The Shokz OpenRun sound good for a pair of bone conduction headphones and uses PremiumPitch 2.0+. This means the transducers are angled at a more ergonomic angle against the cheekbones relative to headsets without this tech. You also get louder volume and bass outputs and minimized vibration intensity. Even with PremiumPitch 2.0+, the OpenRun have a frequency response that reproduces virtually no sub-bass due to the fit. You’ll still hear bass, midrange, and treble, but this skull-vibrating headset won’t satisfy bass heads. Lows, mids, and highs Securely hold the cable or measuring tape so that you can see the measurement when you lift it away from your head. If you’re using a cable, straighten the cable and measure it with a ruler. With every new iteration, Shokz has successfully managed to shave a considerable amount of weight off the frame and the vital parts of its headphones, to make them lighter to wear and less noticeable when you’re on the move. Put the OpenRun up alongside the Trekz Air launched a few years earlier, and you can appreciate how much slimmer things have really gotten here. When using OpenRun’s you also get a lot of audible prompts and reminders; ‘welcome to Shokz, battery medium, connected!’ That’s handy because the buttons on the OpenRun – situated on a small control panel behind the right-hand ear – are rather limited (necessitating a flurry of double- and triple-presses to elicit simple actions). They’re also rather small and fiddly.

Open ear listening means you can hear the ambient noise of the world around you, frees you from ear pain or pressure, and is cleaner and more hygienic. Shokz bone conduction running headphones are perfect for those who like to listen to music while they train but don’t want to cut themselves off from their surroundings.IP67 Waterproof Rated - Completely sweat and waterproof for workouts, fitness and running. Moisture detection alert included for safe charging. (Not suitable for swimming.)

They’re bendy and flexible and haven’t come a cropper when flung into a bag with a camera and books for company. Their IP55 rating is both sweat and water resistant as well as offering some low protection against dust. That doesn’t mean the Mini is waterproof, but a wipe down in case they get dirty should be fine. The OpenRun fits slightly closer to the head and looks a bit nicer the the OpenMove perhaps? But I do not really care about that If we’re talking about sound quality, then the OpenRun don’t go leaps and bounds beyond they're predecessors, though they do show some subtle improvements, particularly in terms of clarity and bass. You don’t need to open the app to adjust the EQ as that can be done by holding both volume buttons until you hear a beep, and Audrey (the voice of the headphones) instructs which mode the headphones are in. With a choice of Vocal and Standard your choices are limited, but Voice is decent enough, amplifying voices without greatly distorting music too much, though its main intention is for audiobooks and podcasts.

My Account

The Shokz OpenRun Mini is built with durable materials to ensure its longevity and can withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle. It features an ergonomic design that helps prevent irritation and discomfort, even during prolonged use. The earphone also offers a secure fit to prevent it from falling out during intense movements or exercises.

The OpenRun has better water resistance, probably mostly due to the magnetic charging, but I do not really care about that. Cuffie molto particolari. Come in-ear possiedo un paio di queste e delle AirPods Pro 2. Faccio un breve confronto per gli interessati: Battery life is hard to compare as my OpenMoves have been hard used for 2 years so the battery has degraded some, I have not really timed them, but the new OpenRun is better. One thing I will say is that I am really impressed with the quality of the batteries that Shokz uses. My 6 year old? Aftershokz Titanium headphones will still run for 6+ hours even after what must have been at least 2-3 thousand cycles by now. I have been using my OpenMoves for 8-12 hours a day, charging them every day for over 2 years now and they will still run for 10+ hours, so the batteries in these things seem really solid, better then what they put in most smartphones. We know you have been waiting for this! OpenRun Pro Mini - our most advanced headphones are now made more comfortable for those with smaller heads. Si collegano al telefono via bluethoot, ed hanno una batteria che si ricarica con un particolare cavo magnetico, sarebbe meglio che si ricaricassero via usb-c, la batteria dura una giornata, ed in genere si associano in automatico quando gli indossi.OpenRun is now available as OpenRun Mini so that runners with smaller heads can also experience the secure fit, maximum comfort, and open-ear listening of OpenRun. OpenRun Mini has a snug fit, with a half-inch shorter band to bring the headphones closer to your head and limit movement as you run. Smaller size and comfortable fit The downside of the extra bass is that you don't just hear it – you can also feel it as a more noticeable buzz against your face that pulses with each beat. All bone conduction headphones produce this effect to some degree at high volumes, but it's particularly noticeable with the OpenRun Pro. If you have a smaller head size you may have struggled to find running headphones with a secure fit or find comfortable headphones for your long runs – not anymore! Shokz has the solution with the OpenRun Mini, specifically designed to fit smaller heads better. Another frequent problem with bone conduction headsets is the sound leakage; with no silicone seal between the transducers and the outside world, it can be easy for those nearby to overhear your songs, audiobooks and phone calls. You might annoy workmates in a quiet office if you crank up the volume on the OpenMove Pro, but when kept at modest levels they're the least leaky Shokz headset we've tested to date. The OpenRun fits differently then the OpenMove but I find the comfort level to be basically the same on both, it is kind of nice to have 2 different ones, so that if I one starts to irritate a spot on my ears I can switch to the other.

In summary, OpenRun Pro Mini will be more stable, more comfortable, and even lighter if you have a narrow or small head. Safety & Connection - Stay aware and motivated through any workout with our 8th generation bone conduction technology. OpenRun Mini delivers quality audio while leaving your eardrums open to surroundings for ultimate safety. An IP67 rating means they are completely sweating and waterproof. They are totally reliable no matter how intense your workout or how extreme the weather. A moisture detection alert ensures safe charging. Open ear bone conduction headphones for running

How do you control the Shokz OpenRun?

Per loro natura hanno un filtro-passa alto sui 100ish Hz, il che significa che non hanno proprio bassi. Riescono comunque a dare tutto un loro sound alle canzoni. Since Shokz OpenRun Pro is rated IP55 sweat-proof, the headphones are safe for most kinds of workouts, even if you get caught in a little rain. The rating doesn’t cover swimming, but Shokz OpenSwim (formerly AfterShokz Xtrainerz) offer a fully-waterproof alternative. Shokz OpenRun Pro review: Controls and voice assistants Sound quality and volume is never gonna be that of a closed ear or ear bud design. It's not bad at all though.
