The notes of Mr Big’s music drift into the crowded city night and everyone is enchanted – who is this wonderful musician? It could be great to use in PSHE related classes to discuss how we should not judge each other on appearances and teach that being big or different is not scary or negative. Perfect for developing your child’s empathy - good for your kid, good for you and good for the world at large!

There was just the right amount of choice to suit everyone without being overwhelming and I received comments from parents and staff about the quality of books offered compared to previous sales which have always been based around current crazes and well known celebrity authors. This was a great story that I enjoyed reading it and felt the feelings how Mr big encountered through the illustrations and pictures.Ed has worked with CLPE to co-create the Power of Pictures scheme which encourages visual literacy in primary school education and has received major funding from the Arts Council. The final page shows him driving off in a pink Cadillac with his band mates, pursued by autograph hunters shouting, “Thank you, Mr Big! This book is fantastic for KS1 classes as it touches on subjects of friendship, feelings and diversity but in a very light and digestible way.

This book is beautifully written using short, sharp and punchy sentences which make reading this aloud or to yourself a delight. Your selection was perfect for our children and what really made the difference was your ability to engage with each child, discuss their interests and help them to choose a suitable book based on your extensive knowledge of the books you were selling. I have even talked the head into a little revamp of the library so that we can display them properly!As Mr Big plays the piano, the notes flow into the busy city and everyone starts to wonder who this amazing musician is that they would all like to meet. Like no-one sees the real him, but then it turns out he's talented and they accept that he is large because he's got talent.
