Nice to meet you. I’m . . .” She cleared her throat. Too high. She had to come across as serious. Her father always sounded so deliberate and authoritative when he spoke. She straightened herself, and the words came out stronger this time. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Ariel, Protector of Carinae. How can I be of help?” She dangled her hand in the water, imagining someone taking it in greeting. and don't get me wrong, i totally get that mala marrying that..fish..was supposed to be a metaphor for interracial marriage. HOWEVER. you mean to tell me THERE WASN'T A BETTER WAY TO PORTRAY INTERRACIAL MARRIAGE THAN HAVING A MERMAID MARRY A FISH? it's fine. it's fine. everything is fine. i feel very normal about this. (this has been plaguing me for days. this has to be SOME flavor of unethical even in the ocean. is this not technically 50% bestiality?? what??) i'm totally against the fish racism too, but that does not mean i'm gonna go and marry one, TAKE NOTES MALA.I DON'T UNDERSTAND I DON'T UNDERSTAND maybe i'm just a fishphobic closed minded dummy like king triton idk. BUT WHY ARE WE MARRYING FISH NOW

Ariel leaned on her desk. Its whalebone was soft to the touch, and she couldn’t help admiring the beautiful detail the royal carpenter had carved into its legs. The desk was a gift from her father: a stately piece of furniture for her to do all her Protector business, which would include creating new territory guidelines, meeting with important figures in the community, hosting events, and a whole slew of other responsibilities to those in Carinae. Ariel's father is a subject of issue for me. Not only a narcissist, but a misogynist also. Ariel, along with her sister Pearla, saved the kingdom and their sister Mala. The other thing is there is merhunters, and they aren't human. They are other fishfolk who sell their scales.Ch. 15 - I can already tell this is just gonna be OK. It is nice to familiarize myself with the sisters before I see the movie today. My only goal now is to finish it before my showing; I don't like it much. Oliveros, Beatriz (2022-09-06). "Houston author J. Elle shares family recipe from her new book 'A Taste of Magic' ". KPRC . Retrieved 2023-04-13. An original novel written by New York Times best-selling author J. Elle inspired by Disney upcoming live action reimagining of The Little Mermaid. Season One: " Whale of a Tale" • " The Great Sebastian" • " Stormy" • " Urchin" • " Double Bubble" • " Message in a Bottle" • " Charmed" • " Marriage of Inconvenience" • " The Evil Manta" • " Thingamajigger" • " Red" • " Beached" • " Trident True" • " Eel-Ectric City" TV Series: Just a Little Love • You Got to be You • The Edge of the Edge of the Sea • The Lobster Mobster's Mob • The Beddy Bye Blues • Sing a New Song • In Harmony • This is the Life • Never Give Up • You Wouldn't Want to Mess with Me • The Sound of Laughter • Daring to Dance • Just Give Me a Chance • Evil Lullaby The villain/kidnapper is very obvious from the beginning and they're honestly quite a forgetful character, but really, they're a plot device for the main focus, which is Ariel finding her courage and maturity--both of which she'll need as a protector. Basically, similar to the main story of The Little Mermaid, Ariel is trying to prove herself to her father and show how foolish and stubborn he really is, especially when it comes to his distrust of anyone that isn't a merperson. But when her sister Mala disappears it's up to Ariel and her other siblings to save her. Their only clue is a hastily scribbled seaweed note that says, ''What could have saved Mother could save me, too.'' Ariel and her siblings embark on a daring adventure through dangerous waters, where they must outsmart fierce ocean creatures and uncover family secrets. Along the way, Ariel will have to face the loss of a mother she never knew and discover what it means to be both a good sister and a strong leader. WHY. if it's only ethical on a *technical* basis, i do not consider it to be all that ethical.. Fireworks: Believe...
