Only showing 5x CSMs not 10 on Boarding Patrol photo is strange too, not showing all the minis included! These massive contingents of Chaos Space Marines are tasked with collecting the Key-fragments spread across the galaxy needed by Abaddon and Vashtorr the Arkifane to enact their heinous plans. The first of these sets for the Space Marines is led by a Primaris Captain In Gravis Armour who can be armed with a variety of different weapons. The Word Bearers torsos are designed for Mark IV armour, and feature Colchisian runes and lots of fluttering papers for you to inscribe very small prayers to the Dark Gods on.

The forces of Chaos are home to many colourful champions, and you can follow the story of three such individuals in Renegades of the Long War , a compilation of three novels and a short story. In a world of bloody Boarding Actions, it’s easy to forget the colossal battles that define the 41st Millennium are still taking place. This gives you a pretty elite option for your Chaos Space Marine armies and it fits in nicely with the new Detachment rules for Arks Of Omen that you can indulge in. To prevent rebellion or infighting amongst these allies, Abaddon seeded shipmasters and individuals loyal only to him.

While no two Balefleets are alike in size or composition, each is formed around an Ark of Omen at its core. So I think the box will come with 10 marines but the picture on the box is the actual warband you can play.Alternatively, you could lean into the heavy armor/elites you’ve already got and fill those options out.

This chilling Warhammer Horror omnibus collects The Oubliette by J C Stearns, Sepulturum by Nick Kyme, The Deacon of Wounds by David Annandale, and The Bookkeeper’s Skull by Justin D Hill into an essential collection of scary stories from the worlds of Warhammer.Alongside plenty of new lore advancing the storyline, this book contains further rules for the Boarding Actions, including unique upgrades for Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, World Eaters, Grey Knights, Astra Militarum, and Orks Boarding Patrols.

Battlefields in the grim darkness of the far future are shifting as Vashtorr the Arkifane and Abaddon unleash the calamitous Arks of Omen and set intricate plans in motion. This is an interesting battleforce with a bunch of elite-style troops that could be a good pick-up for most Chaos players! If you’re one of the chosen Eightbound (or just want to show off your dedication to Khorne) the premium Collector’s Edition is for you, featuring gold foil lettering, gilt page edges, and a red ribbon page marker. The Abaddon-led Boarding Action force clearly has a beat-stick on the board, but ultimately it might be a little light on the bodies. However, you get the majority of it in Cultists and Abaddon, so if you don’t want either, then this is not worth it. As well as The Despoiler, you also have ten Chaos Space Marine Legionaries who can be armed with a variety of weapons and then twenty Cultists who will simply be cannon fodder thrown in the way of oncoming fire. There’s also the Chaos Boarding Patrol coming out soon which includes Abaddon and more basic troops — not a bad addition to this batch of units. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. Command of each Balefleet varies, and either are Abaddons own subordinates of Champions of Chaos that have pledged themselves to his latest endeavor.
