Description

A tiny stereo amplifier designed to be connected to unpowered speakers seems an odd thing, as you aren’t often called upon to produce an amp while you are out and about, except perhaps a headphone amp which the Fosi Audio TB10D TPA3255 is not. Then again, there is an attractiveness to having a portable 600W amp, or one that takes up a minuscule amount of space on a shelf. Considering the variety of products Fosi Audio sells there must be something to this. Embracing a miniaturized yet enduringly elegant and straightforward aesthetic, complete with dedicated controls for bass, treble, and volume management. Positioned at the rear end are the banana plug terminals, engineered to seamlessly accommodate both banana plugs and stripped wires. The TB10D power amplifier provides wired input and passive speaker output.

Fosi Audio TB10D TPA3255, Is That An Amp In Your Pocket? Fosi Audio TB10D TPA3255, Is That An Amp In Your Pocket?

The idea of a low cost, high quality two channel amp which is small enough to be easily portable may seem odd but it does make a lot of sense, especially for homes that don’t have the space for a large amp. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.0 makes it even more useful as you can avoid a lot of extra wiring, or hook it up outside to enjoy music with your barbeque. Set up and tear down is a laugh, and won’t take you any time at all. Inside, the TB10D houses a Texas Instruments TPA3255 amplifier chip, renowned in the audio enthusiast community for its top-notch performance. So don’t be fooled by its affordability – the TB10D is a well-crafted unit. Sound I am not sure quite what I was expecting but it wasn't this, it sounds great, not going to get too techy about these things but can I hear everything? yes, is it loud enough for my small (11'x10') room? my goodness yes, though of course there has to be some consideration for the neighbours. We listened to more songs than those named in this playlist, but those are excellent for identifying a sonic signature. PRaT, Texturization, Detail, Resolution, Dynamics, Impact, and overall tonality are all revealed by those songs. We recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you’re searching for new music! Sound is open, sweet and it reproduces subtle details flawlessly. I've tried this tiny amp with both floor standing dual concentric speakers and with very small bookshelf monitors. It drove each type of speaker easily and both speaker pairs are of medium (not high) sensitivity. If there's a weak spot, it may be in the amp's ability to reproduce a wide sound stage which was good but nothing outstanding. Class D has made huge improvements in the last 10 years or so and Ti look to have one of the best budget chips on the market and this Fosi seems like really good implementation of that chip. A few things in this review though… power supply, with 10db attenuators max volume is low compared to my BT20A (older version) much more without, a little sparkle sound when using my 24v power supply, power was on from the psu when connected to the amp that was off Overall it seams the A07 has the more flat and un-colored studio sound vs the TDA7498e has a bit of warmth/coloring with slightly less detail and slightly trailed off treble. The TDA7498e sounds more similar to older class A/B amps I have heard so some my prefer this.

(Review) Fosi Audio TB10D, Tiny Amplifier Producing 600 Watts

Per chi riesce a farsi piacere la musica mediante bluetooth, invece, consiglio senza esistare il modello di questo amp. con il ricevitore integrato, costa poco di più, ha la stessa amplificazione, e il BT in più.c. Being highly immersive - that is, the last veils (regardless of how slight they may be) have been removed between the listener and the music. The Fosi Audio V3 is the first device from the company to feature a new, more modern design style. While previous devices adopted a more generic, classic design, the V3 is more streamlined, to the point it could be said it’s minimalistic. The only concession to form appears to be a series of holes on top of the chassis, which form a flower-like shape at the centre of which stands the Fosi Audio logo. Not only does this make the amplifier look more sophisticated, it also helps with heat dissipation (as there is a corresponding, yet not as elaborate, series of holes on the bottom). It’s a very nice design which can fit in any context. Mini classic simple design with bass, treble, and volume control. On the rear are banana plug connectors that can also accept a raw wire.

Fosi Audio TB10D Amplifier Review

No Sub of course, but in this small room the sub can be overwhelming not just for me but very definitely for the neighbours below. If there was anything that the TB10D could use, it’s possibly another optical input format. But the RCA was more than suitable for my use, and the initial testing I did was just using an Alexa Mini to play into the Fosi Audio directly. In addition to its impressive power and unique character, the Fosi Audio TB10D amplifier offers a level of customization that sets it apart from other budget-friendly models. With the ability to adjust the tonality to your preference, you can fine-tune the sound to your specific tastes.

Design & Build

This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. Its a much smaller box than the A07 Pro - so heat might be a problem if played loud for a long time - I imagine if op-amps are swap maybe some extra vents would be drilled into case Accessory wise you get a power supply and that’s it, to be honest there isn’t anything else that’s needed to get this little amp up and running. Now, you can have the bass set at the baseline level, and the bass will be really neutral and lean. The bass generally has a super smooth texture, smooth presentation and not a lot of weight. You can increase that with a touch of your finger on the bass potentiometer, and at the max, it gainst almost 10 – 15 dB, with the energy being focused in both the sub bass and the mid bass. Sadly, there is no subwoofer output, for either active or passive subwoofer, so I can only hear the bass of my speakers. With the bass slider at max, KLH Model Five don’t really require a subwoofer anymore, so there’s that, you can enjoy most large pairs of speakers neatly with the Fosi Audio TB10D. disclaimer: This sample was provided for the purpose of writing a review, no incentive was given to write a favourable review. Operating the Fosi Audio TB10D is a breeze, thanks to its intuitive control layout. The front panel features a power switch, volume knob, and input selection buttons, providing straightforward access to the amplifier's essential functions. The inclusion of LED indicators for power status and input selection adds to the user-friendly nature of the device. In addition to the unpowered analog output to your speakers, Fosi also included a proper 3.5mm PRE-OUT on the BT20A Pro. You can use it to connect a powered subwoofer or speaker but you can also use it as a preamp and attach it to a power amplifier. That lets you use the volume, treble and bass to control the audio, passing on all the work to the power amp. With 300W available already you may never need to make use of it. Seeing it on an amp of this cost is a very nice bonus. Another technique I used was putting 2 drops of distilled water between the heatsink fins. The water has excellent emissivity and will heat up until it boils into vapor, allowing me to accurately measure the temperature until it reaches above 100C or dried up. As you can see in the picture below, the heatsink was extremely hot (85C). Imagine what it would be like if it were enclosed in a sealed enclosure. I attached the Q Acoustic 3010s to the Fosi Audio TB10B. After a few minutes of listening, and a little bit of tweaking with the bass and treble pots, I have to say that I was floored at how much more bottom end I could get out of my Q Acoustic bookshelves with the Fosi Audio, compared with the Denon. The Fosi Audio TB10D boasts impressive versatility, accommodating a wide range of audio sources. It features RCA and 3.5mm auxiliary inputs, allowing users to connect various devices such as smartphones, computers, or CD players. Additionally, the inclusion of a dedicated subwoofer output enhances the system's flexibility, enabling users to enhance their audio experience by adding a separate subwoofer.Fosi presented themselves with a bit of a challenge, as the BT20A Pro needs to beat the already impressive TB10D. Once again Fosi proved surprisingly capable at providing HiFi performance at a LoFi cost. It was immediately noticeable that the left and right channels had far superior separation, and not just by a little. The surround effect was far more immersive than on the TB10D during movies and music. Clear midrange, somewhat energetic highs out of the box, good punchy, tight, mabye a little dry, not super deep bass, wider soundstage, depth than my bt20a, good dynamics, punch in the lows playing the spirit of dun dun by steve smith, nothing like a big amp and thigh sounding speakers with 12" pa subs, bass (could be big jbl tower speakers) but stil good, musical
