Description

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250ohms is suitable for powered studio monitor controllers, HiFi-amplifiers, etc. This plays louder sounds with lower voltage supply. Detailed sounds are produced with low distortion in 250 ohms headphones.

Frequency response measures how well headphones reproduce different sound frequencies. It shows how much sound the headphones can produce at different frequencies, such as bass, midrange, and treble. Frequency response can be considered as how balanced the headphones' sound is across various pitches or tones. This balance can affect how pleasing your music sounds and whether specific instruments or vocals are emphasized or de-emphasized. The DT 770 Pro 250 has perfect balance and detail which makes it superb for critical listening situations. While the M50x headphone has its thumping bass and punchy higher frequencies. In conclusion, I love this headphone for everything. Mixing/mastering [closed design isolates well, won't hear street noises & children playing, I can always focus on my mix/master]; monitoring instruments, sound design, critical listening, watching movies, and playing games. Also great for enjoying ASMR, or voice/video-calls, just make sure you have an good headphone preamp to drive the 250ohm to get enough gain/volume.Over the course of two weeks, we practically didn't take these headphones off, running them through the Audioengine D1 DAC with music, movies, shows, and even some PC gaming and work meetings. Everything sounds amazing. With a similar frequency response of 5 Hz-35kHz, the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 also has a stronger bass response than the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250. Prominent Bass Presence vs Critical Listening Comfort is also great, many hours, minimum fatigue. Might have to get used to the weight, clamp pressure, and curly cable weight & handling. But in a weeks time it will be second nature. My longest session wearing it was 22 hours. I have used it for nearly 3 years now, almost every day 7 days a week, 3 to 12hrs a day. Low tones are really tight and clear. There is no mud, it extremely clean. Own stays in its place and does not overshadow other sounds.

We thoroughly researched and analyzed the ARC Mk2 DAC and have discovered that it offers exceptional audio quality and versatility. It also boasts various input options, including PC-USB, coaxial, Bluetooth, and optical, making it versatile and accessible to many users. This DAC amp supports audio quality of up to 32-Bit / 768 kHz, ensuring high precision and accuracy in sound reproduction.

What are your experiences with these headphones? We’d love to know in the comments below. Also if you think your friends might find this article useful, why not share it on social media? Be sure to tag us @musicgateway! As goes the headphones, I rate them five stars in every respect taking into account their budget price. I also own Amiron Homes, which certainly sound a little better but which don’t quite fit my head as perfectly as the 770s, and I have a pair of 880 250ohms which I think have a significantly different sound signature from the 770s (very precise but understated bass and a gauzy, delicate treble). I am not a fan of closed headphones per se, but sometimes it is the only politic choice when wearing them around the house, and the 770s are the only such headphones I have so far found that I really enjoy the sound of and find comfortable when wearing for long periods. I find that the 80 ohm 770s work well on any device and yet they still benefit from dedicated amplification (which in my case comes in the form of a couple of Little Dot Mk 2 head amps in a couple of different systems. For my 250 ohm headphones these Little Dots are essential). Clamping force is just enough for the DT 770 Studios to feel secure, without it feeling like your brain is being squeezed out of your skull. This is likely in large part thanks to the incredibly thicc padding on each earpad. We're not totally sure what the filling on these earpads is made of, but the super soft velour covering is incredibly comfortable, if a little hot during this brutal New York City summer.

In our research, we examined DACs that come with an integrated amplifier. It is important to determine whether you require the amplification feature of these DAC amps. However, even if you do not need amplification, you can still reap the benefits of a DAC amp. This version of the DT 770 Pro Headphones has an impedance of 250 Ohms, making them extremely flexible. That means impressive sound detail regardless of the device you're listening on. They're usable with studio equipment all the way to smartphones. The result is a consistently transparent sound with extreme detail at all times. Incredible comfort for extended listeningI've been looking for a set of studio cans for a while, and have always heard amazing things about the 770s, 880s, and 990s. Initially I was having a hard time figuring out which one of those would be best for me. I wanted a pair of headphones that I could simultaneously record with (meaning, with minimal spill), and that I could mix and master with. We will take a brief look at the DTT Pro 80 and ATH- M50x headphones and see how they hold up against the Beyerdynamic Pro DT 770 Pro 250. Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 vs 250 In terms of audio quality, the ARC Mk2 DAC supports up to 24-Bit / 96 kHz, ensuring you get high-quality sound. It also has multiple inputs, including USB (compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, PS4, PS5), 3.5 mm, and optical connections, giving you the flexibility to connect to different devices. The ARC Mk2 DAC also has a microphone input but doesn't have a volume control for the microphone, which can be inconvenient for some. But when you want coiled cables you have to straight go for 250 ohms headphones. 80 ohm one also is ahead because of its heavy bass feature and you will never have to add an amp. But the 250-ohm headphones will need an extra amp added to it.

There's only one Con, the curly cable, if you sit stationary in your mix position you're fine. But if you move a lot to access different gear, any head movement more than 30cm, will reposition the cable & it's weight strain. Do that all day, & you'll get tired & annoyed by that cable. So sit still haha and try to have the cable rest on something like your desktop/table when mixing/mastering. Letting the cable hang full weight on the headphone will cause fatigue during long sessions, but is inevitable in the vocal booth where one usually stands upright. There's soft leather padding along the top of the headphones, too, which is also among the best we've experienced. The best part? All of this padding is removable and replaceable, which means you won't have to buy a new pair of headphones once the DT 770 Studios get a little torn up or dirty. Therefore, if you like the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250, you might also like the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 ohm and the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x studio headphones. Bit depth refers to the number of bits of information in each audio recording sample. The more bits per sample, the more accurately the recording can capture the subtle nuances of sound. In a 24-bit recording, each sample has 24 bits of data. This allows for a greater dynamic range, meaning it can capture a broader range of volume levels and sound frequencies. In comparison, a 16-bit recording can capture a more limited range of sound, which may result in a loss of detail and clarity. We thoroughly researched and analyzed the Creative Sound Blaster AE-7 (PCIe) and have found that it is the best choice for headphones with an impedance ranging from 1 ohm to 600 ohms. High impedance headphones benefit from a DAC amp as they require more power to achieve their full potential. Low sensitivity headphones may also require a DAC amp to drive them to the same sound pressure level as higher sensitivity headphones. Additionally, headphones with a wider frequency response may benefit more from a DAC amp than those with a limited frequency range. A constant in the music industry - the DT 770 Pro Headphones are ideal for studio applications and home stereo systems. Thanks to the wide frequency response and exceptional audio fidelity, they allow you to record with confidence – you’re guaranteed to hear your mixes, masters, and edits in accurate detail. We thoroughly researched and analyzed the iFi xDSD Gryphon DAC and have found that it is an excellent choice for headphone users who demand high-quality audio. Furthermore, a cool feature of the ATH-M50x is the detachable cable, something the Beyerdynamic DT770 doesn’t have. Prominent Bass Presence vs Critical Listening
