About this deal

If you have tried the factory reset more than once and that reset was as per the instructions in this link: So does the new Beam produce compelling height effects and precisely place sounds in three-dimensional space without the use of upward-firing drivers?

Is is possible to use the Play:1’s as surrounds for a home theater system where Sonos:Beam is the soundbar, rather than PlayBar? PLAY:1 comes with all the unique benefits that can only be found in a Sonos Wireless HiFi System including Sonos PLAY:3™, Sonos PLAY:5™, Sonos PLAYBAR™ and more: The company has recently come with the latest generation of much-acclaimed Sonos. The Sonos One works well with all the available assistants so there is no need to worry about its compatibility. Even though a sub can go lower than two Play 5’s when listening to music it’s a moot point. Going too low with music only serves to weaken or distort the sound produced by other instruments in the recording. If that's the case IMO the Sub is not adjusted correctly. Ideally it should be Trueplay tuned along with the P5/2s. Room resonances can otherwise intrude. On the subject of simplicity, the Beam Gen 2 also gains NFC so that you can tap your phone to initialise the wi-fi setup.

The speaker is able to use Wi-Fi independently [3] or a Sonos Bridge, Boost or itself by Ethernet connection to a router to form a wireless peer-to-peer mesh network called SonosNet with other speakers, [7] [8] allowing the user to play separate or identical media on one, many and/or all speakers within the network. The Wi-Fi can also be manually disabled through the source code. [7] At this point, I thought that if there was a tool that combined both the Spinorama with the room acoustics data, it'd be extremely useful. That said, if you are a happy Sonos customer you should reconsider buying first generation gear. Here’s a link:

How does the Sonos One (Gen 1) sound?

The major difference between these two is in the three main parameters. It is said by the company that the Sonos Gen 2 comes with a more powerful processor, increased memory, and is more advanced in features.

The smart speakers of Sonos allow their users to control their smart devices more efficiently and comfortably. Minor correction: the Gen 2 One reports the exact same amount of memory as Gen 1: see the memory chart I posted a while ago. Can't tell about the processor. The Sonos One gets loud. Keeping it on 50% is more than enough to enjoy music from anywhere in my apartment. For an entry-level speaker, the Sonos One (Gen 1) sounds very good. Lows, mids, and highsMy question would be, is it better to by another second-hand Play 5 1st gen to pair with mine, or to sell my own one and buy two Play One and may be one day add a Sub? Whether you want to build your own home theater or just learn more about TVs, displays, projectors, and more, we've got you covered.
