There's an alternate universe where the Switch got normal ports of the PS2 titles, and everyone hated that at first, but then those versions ended up being the best of the bunch. I only played the one with Axl rose as host of the radio station, it was a good game and I had fun with it, tried to play the next one at the time of release but seem to be a little too much for my taste, if priced correctly I will give em another try Yeah, we get to play GTA on the switch! I'd rather they port things badly then not at all. Good example is Kingdom Hearts. Even though I don't care to play it, it still would be better if they ported it and not done just a cloud version.

Would be nice to have these on a Nintendo system for the first time and even better, on the go. San Andreas is still my favorite thanks to the music, character customization and all the different vehicles. Edit: And the reviewer appears to imply this doesn't have issues across the board. That doesn't excuse Take Two from pushing this out, but I have seen many outlets for other consoles and PC say it's not up to snuff there. Am I the only one not impressed? The switch needs a better grandtheft auto game like the current ones(iv & v) and not some 20years ago games that have outlived its usefulness. Not buying. Probably the majority of reviewers never played it and join into the hype. Still, this rating doesn't make me wanna get the game sadly. Clyde_Radcliffe is it pronounced to rhyme with WING or HINGE? (In the US we say whining, which is WINE not WYNN)

About The Game

KillerBOB @GrailUK playing Vice City on Switch, the pop in is basically the same as it was on the PS2 and I've had no issues weaving through traffic and the originals controlled pretty poorly anyway. I'd say these actually play pretty similar to the PS2 originals but with a less consistent framerate

Also, a lot of the music that was previously listed as not present (poison arrow, animotion , are just 2 examples) are in the game. I doubt it would see a million in sales at that price. You can buy these games everywhere, and even if they’re remastered, they still can’t hide the fact that these are PS2 games.

KillerBOB I probably would have been fine with the game had it been just the original games ported, but be real, its not. The originals didn't not at all play like this, pop in was there, but nothing like this and nothing that would interrupt game play. The fps was 25 so that's a non issue. Honestly wish I had read this review before purchasing. The "remaster" is hugely disrespectful to the originals which, for their time, were all time great video games. If you got straight ports of the original PS2 games, you do realize they would look, play, and control much worse than this, right?? Thwomp_Stomper with the way people get touchy about certain older games coming to the Switch, I wasn't sure and my apologies. In saying that, I am not excusing the developer or publisher for the state of the game at launch. That was unacceptable.

clianvXAi when so many games has performance issue... then sh may start to work in a more professional way. "the switch is old, it's a switch fault" is only an excuse. I was going to wait regardless as this smells like a game that will be half priced after the holidays. I think it looks okay but it’s much more jarring to deal with the problems listed when actually playing a game instead of just looking at gameplay footage.

This is long overdue, and they should port GTA IV and V as well. These are old and wildly popular last-gen games, they should run well on switch and find a large audience, I don't understand the decision to not port them.
