Once you’re fully cleared and don’t feel that the ankle’s bothering you anymore, I’d stay away from regular use of braces. Unless you’re Steph Curry and playing in the NBA 82+ games per year with constant battles with injuries lol. The medial sections of the foam do come out a little more, which does help plant off the inside foot more confidently. There’s also a small torsional plate for some torsional rigidity. Pin image source: underarmour.com It’s got the deadliest traction I’ve ever experienced on a hoop shoe to the point where it’s almost too aggressive.

The Under Armour Curry 8 Flow is a breath of fresh air, that’s for sure. It takes comfort, freedom, and mobility to another level but there are still ways to improve. But perhaps it’s better described as not feeling anything at all, as at times I do manage to forget about those toe bumps and the experience becomes so smooth it’s not even funny. But it’s the smooth running transitions and overall flow of movements that make this setup fantastic. The heel is slightly elevated while the platform is slightly curved up at the front and while this is nothing new, it seems that they really nailed it here in terms of precision.Does it really BITE various surfaces well? How’s sensitivity to floor debris and what about outsole durability? Pin image source: underarmour.com OUTDOOR PERFORMANCE In my LeBron 18 review, I said the cushion setup used on that shoe might be approaching a point where it’s almost too much. Well, with the Curry 8 Flow, I’ve come across a similar scenario, just with the traction. How grippy is too grippy? Pin image source: underarmour.com There are also these synthetic overlays along the sides which help with lateral & medial foot containment and the foam itself extends a tad bit laterally, acting as a mini-outrigger. Read more about the new and exciting features of CURRY 8 in the flyer Why you should upgrade to CURRY 8.

The shoes in this section are great options for people who like what the Curry 8 offers but want something different. 1. Kyrie 7

Harness the power of Steph Curry shoes and lead the game

The Under Armour Curry 8 weighs 12.2oz/346g, on the light end for basketball shoes (average weight is 13.6oz/387g), which is what I expected given the previous history of the Curry line and his playstyle.

I’ve been playing in these for a few months now (pretty much since they dropped at my local online retailer) exclusively on outdoor courts. The cushion is also nice and comfortable while providing great court feel and responsiveness. Reviewers considered it the best cushion of the Curry lineup. With silhouettes that grab attention and points on the court, Stephen Curry shoes are a must-have in any well-edited footwear collection. Fitted with Under Armour’s lightweight and innovative support layers, you can enjoy performance-enhancing wear across all activities. I don’t usually like to go all the way in calling a shoe a “next-gen” shoe due to its innovations tech-wise or design-wise for that time period, but you know what? I could be able to pull it off with the Splash Brother’s first independent brand shoe, the Curry 8 Flow by Curry Brand& Under Armour. Let’s dive right into how these fit. Not an exaggeration – I don’t think anybody should go with their regular size when shopping for the Curry 8.The materials consist of a flexible knit upper that is comfortable with synthetic overlays for structure. The lacing system is traditional but the shoe is a one-bootie upper, meaning it’s a single piece of material. No separated tongue, nothing like that. Not that important performance-wise but something you should know. My own experience and knowledge of basketball sneakers, combined with additional extensive research, allowed me to properly cover the Curry 8s in extreme detail. Detailed Review of Under Armour Curry 8

While these barely squeak at all (it’s foam, duh), the bite is so aggressive it almost feels like it could throw you off balance if you’d let it to. Imagine yourself running at 30 miles an hour and then completely halting without any easing into it. If you’d have the Curry 8’s slapped on, you’d probably fall with your face flat on the ground. Another aspect of this is the flat knit upper, which provides excellent breathability. Where some lightweight options are much too stuffy for long games, the Curry 8 comes with high-end ventilation that will keep you cool even in the hottest of environments. The gist of it is the 9th shoe is simply the Curry Flow 8 with some tweaks that help it become a more versatile choice. Not just for the Splash Brother. Traction is perhaps the biggest area where the Curry 8 excels. The shoe is outfitted with the UA Flow Cushioning technology on top of a unique outsole pattern. Both of those features work beautifully together, allowing you to start and stop no matter how fast you’re running.

This is a pure gym shoe, through and through. That won’t matter to certain players, but it’s a bit of a bummer that anyone who enjoys playing outside will need to look elsewhere. Protection In fact, there’s no such thing as a distinct outsole & midsole here as the whole white bottom piece is made of lightweight foam. I went true to size for my Curry 8 and it was the correct choice, although the shoe did play tight and noticeably hugged my foot. This was not a problem for me as I enjoy a close fit on my basketball shoes but for those who prefer a bit of extra space, I’d recommend going up a half size. Length-wise they were true to size.
