Story: Roping in the State's recent infamous gold smuggling case, the film looks at corruption, love and betrayal

Night Drives marks new ground with Kathryn exploring a more filmic sound, with a larger ensemble of instrumentation, particular emphasis on the strings and production from Ed Harcourt. Night Drives is out on July 15 th via One Little Independent Records. That's not the twist. I could mention Stalker, but it's perhaps more like Nightcrawler. I could reference Mulholland Drive, but the mystery box is more like Ronin. Indeed, if any film might serve as primer for the explosive revelations to mention it might be to give away elements, and twist isn't right. There's also reward in detail. Not just the structure of the central case but tell-tale ginger ale. Shot before, set in 2018, release seems to have been delayed but it does not suffer from it. Its action is sufficiently dependent upon time and space that a bit of dislocation does it good. A sequence in a hardware store perhaps overextends on the reaction shots but still works.Director Vysakh, known for his mass entertainers, like Pokkiriraja and Pulimurugan, gives us a more toned down movie this time around. Just short of two hours, it is the right duration for an edge-of-seat thriller that never lags. Writer Abhilash Pillai has a crisp, neat storytelling style, while filling the plot with twists and suspense, and Vysakh’s treatment makes it feel like a fresh political suspense thriller, where an innocent couple are made scapegoats of the smuggling scam. While his life seems to be caught in a downward spiral, a business proposition from an alluring but enigmatic passenger named Charlotte (Sophie Dalah -- Unbroken, Dead Night) proves too good to turn down. A simple ride turns deadly, catapulting Russell into an even darker place, but Charlotte may be the key to a second chance he thought he'd never have... if he can make it through the night.

In that time you’ll be driven around the park in an open-sided safari vehicle. It will be the only vehicle on the road after dark! It’s quite amazing and sometimes daunting to think about the reality of the situation – one 4×4 vehicle in the midst of a park bigger than some countries with wild animals lurking in the darkness out there!
