In turn, players roll a die to determine which body part of a beetle (or bug or cootie) they are allowed to draw. The first player to finish drawing their beetle wins. Simpson, John W. (2003-10-14). NOTE: Remind players that it doesn't matter what their beetles look like. Go through the rules clearly before you start and ask if anyone has questions. More on events and activities any player in the room complete their beetle they shout "BEETLE" and the whole room stops immediately. Fun and laughter guaranteed as players try to build their beetle. Roll the dice and build your beetle first. Before the game begins, decide on a more complex beetle to draw. For example, a beetle could have three body segments with four legs on each segment. Or it could have two heads, or six eyes, or four antennae, or any other combination and quantity of body parts.

On the day: Set up the tables and chairs, put scorecards, templates, dice and pencils on the tables. Once everyone has arrived, explain the rules – it’s fun to give the children a few practice runs at shouting out ‘BEETLE!’ (or ‘SNOWMAN!’ if you choose to do a winter alternative) as loud as they can. Leave time at the end for adding up scores and sorting through the sheets to find the winner. It can get a bit chaotic with everyone moving tables, but that adds to the fun! Present the prizes, draw the raffle, count your takings and announce the amount raised.Contents: 4 sets of beetle parts - 4 bodies, 4 heads, 4 noses, 8 feelers, 8 eyes, 24 feet, 1 game storage tray, 1 dice
