Where the DT Trusoft really shines is its durability. After a solid session of bashing them around, we couldn’t see a single, solitary scratch. This is easily one of the most durable golf balls we have ever tested. On the whole, this TITLEIST trusoft ball would not provide you the similar type of response and grip which the most excellent Pro V1 model will, but judge against further ball models in this brand category; it’s undoubtedly the most excellent for roughly green courses. As with most things in golf, the choice of golf balls between low and high compression starts with distance. There are other considerations to be made – and we will get to those later – but it starts with how far you can hit the ball, and how far you want to hit the ball. In general, lower compression means more distance. If a golf ball is easier to compress (requires less force), it is going to be easier to hit it long distances off the tee. The total equation is not that simple, but that is the basic outline of how it works. If you are currently playing a medium compression golf ball and switch to a low compression ball, you will likely see your distance increase. What kind of course do you play? In addition to the weather conditions in your area, you can also think about the style of golf course that you play and what shots work best on that layout. Courses that have small, well-guarded greens will usually be best handled by high spin golf balls. For courses with large greens and plenty of room to run the ball up onto the green, a lower ball flight might be just fine.

Golf balls that are geared towards superior distances tend to be harder. This is so they can achieve a greater force of impact, allowing them to react and spring off a club face with extra power.

TITLEIST is a renowned brand in the golf industry. A few days ago they made public the latest and better quality DT TRUSOFT, the softest golf ball in their history. Some of our research team members got their assigns these small compression models, and also placed the balls to try out on the golf course. If you’re a passionate and eager golf player like us, there have to have been occasions when the better half has requested what you would like for the anniversary gift, and you have asked for these one dozen TITLEIST golf balls. Everybody knows these golf balls are remarkable and consistent at all times. Besides, they experience and sound much stunning as soon as you strike in the right manner, you will find no lousy feel!

We know from our extensive player testing that golfers who gravitate toward the softest-feeling golf balls are also clearly focused on performance,” said Michael Mahoney, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball Marketing. As you make your way around the course, you want to pay careful attention to your ball flight to see if you can spot some signs that the compression on your golf ball is not a good match for your swing. The new, low compression TruTouch Core is larger than previous Titleist cores. It is designed to deliver low spin for long-distance shots and to provide a softer feel on all shots. On Titleist’s compression measuring devices, the DT TruSoft is 15 points softer than DT Solo, which was already the softest golf ball in Titleist’s line. That puts its compression in the mid 50s, according to Michael Mahoney, director of golf ball marketing for Titleist. Two-piece balls are generally a bit firmer, providing more distance. However, this distance usually comes at the expense of control. The most distance-orientated balls are typically made with a two-piece construction and are well-suited to advanced players who are looking to push their game forward. The Titleist DT Trusoft is a two-piece ball.

In other words, compression isn’t the be-all, end-all of golf ball fitting. But it is a variable you should take into account. Sounds simple enough, and it is… on the surface. There’s at least some disagreement, however, on the role of compression in how a particular ball performs for different golfers. The Titleist DT Trusoft is about as close as you can get to being a premium golf ball without actually being premium. It offers solid all-around performance, capable of good distance, moderate spin, tight control, and unmatched durability – all for a price that isn’t going to break the bank. So who’s right, and who’s wrong? As of early 2014, there’s no definitive answer. But most of those in-the-know tend to sway toward the compression matters camp.I have dabbled with the NXT options, but really the TruSoft is the ball for me. My CC also started carrying it with our logo, so I'm proud to play it anywhere.
