About this deal

What I loved most is that I heard the series in audio from two fantastic actors who really brought Kirill and Sasha to vivid life. They breathed all of the characters into my mind and had me always wanting more. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE when I realized that RK included at least one character with two functioning brain cells in this book and that character, blessed be his soul, turned out to be our Russian mafia prince hero — Kirill. He immediately discovers what a big fat terrible secret Sasha has up her sleeve so no "wtf, am I gay" hysterical revelations for us from this guy. ❤️ Thank god for small mercies, love me some originality (but in strictly small doses). I loved how Kirill was pleading with Sasha at the end, begging her NOT to GO to Russia for 3 days! And he even followed her... (hehehehe, the ending was great. I'm starting book 2 right now.)

Sasha, this cutie 😭 Sasha, disguised as a boy named Aleksander, is in the military to get closer to higher-ups and gather information about her family's massacre, to seek revenge on those responsible. Her sole purpose is revenge! I personally loved her character, and while she had some characteristics similar to Rina's fmcs, she was unique. She had a great childhood with her best brothers and cousins... until they were all killed when she was 16. I admired how she aimed to become stronger every day, pursuing her goals regardless of others' opinions! 💗The heroine: Sasha (a.k.a. Aleksander) - she is from a wealthy Russian family, most of whom were murdered in a massacre. Her uncle tells her that the only way to protect herself and the rest of her family that somehow survived was to join the Russian Army. She is undercover as a man named Aleksander, her hair has been chopped off, she wears bindings around her breasts and is doing her best to not be a weakling, though she is thinner and smaller than all the other brutes in her unit. I close my eyes, waiting for him to punch me for the insolence. I wait and wait. And wait... But the impact doesn't come. Was her defiance supposed to make her look like a badass female? Because a naive me thought that a badass in the traditional sense of the word means The Hero: Kirill - He is the heir to a Russian mafia family in the U.S. To get away from his father, he joined the Russian Army and is now a captain of the special ops. He is every bit as dangerous as that sounds and has honed his body into a killing machine. He is surrounded by loyal men in his unit. Okay so Imma say something positive now because I need to explain the 3 stars. Was this book a bunch of cliche clumped together? Yea, but it was entertaining. And Kirill was cute sometimes.

Her reflections on her past and the best moments of her life weren't all thrown aside in this book. She wasn't a grief-filled statue. It was heartbreaking when she recalled the best moments of her life, playing, dressing up, and laughing carelessly. I really loved seeing the other sides of Kirill’s character. I went through so many emotions with him over this series but finally we got to witness his devastation of losing his wife. Of seeing how brilliant his mind was in strategizing what he wants his future to look like , was what kept me seeking to hear more of the story. He’s already on my side. He just doesn’t know it yet.❞ I'm a Kirill-Adrian stan from now on. Aiden-Adrian who? I honestly can’t wait to see if Rina writes about the supporting cast and I hope to hear more of Maskim and Yuri and their adventures in Russia. but in conclusion, all she did was disobey, show attitude, and be irrational at the worst possible moments. I wish he punched her that one time, maybe she would have LEARNED. Anton raises a perfect brow. “Shouldn’t I be the one who asks that? Aren’t you supposed to be waiting inside like Mama said?”

Pls don't mind me trying to make sense of the inner workings of the "female in disguise" trope in particular and RK's book universe in general. I know it's not that deep, and everyone who's familiar with RK understands how absolutely crucial it's to practice suspension of disbelief before even thinking of delving into her books. Sasha is a woman, disguised as a man in the russian military, searching for clues as to who caused the massacre of her family 4 years ago. She is an easy target of bigger, meaner soldiers, so she begs Kirill like the flop she is (sorry can't wait to start hating), a captain from the special ops team, to train her. Reluctantly he does. As it turns out, Kirill might be linked to the mystery she has been trying to uncover for years, so she leaves with him to New York as his body guard, plunging deep into mafia life. The suspense, the brutality, the sensuality between Kirill and Sasha. The love of family that brought the story to an awesome conclusion. All of it was amazing. THE SMUT SCENES 😂🤭 Sasha actually fainted the first time they got intimate, as they were in a sauna and he wasn't stopping at all. When they finally had sex, he was so into it, going again and again because he was addicted to her. Both of them are confused and uncertain about where they stand with each other. Sasha casually told him 'It was convenient' to have sex, which made him furious 😂, and they ended up in a 'we use each other' relationship. And it didn't happen till 60% of the book!

This conclusion to 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭'𝐬 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 was bittersweet for me! I 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 it had to end but I wasn’t ready to leave Kirill behind! He was absolutely amazing! And Sasha was one of my favorite fierce female leads too. We love a jealous determined king who is ready to eliminate the competition he made up in his head.
