Bob's second car after the Incredibile is a small blue-and-gray microcar which appears extremely small for Bob's large size. It is often identivied as a Nash Metropolitan, but seems too square. The car has a tendency to break down very often, and after arriving home from work, Bob lifts up the car in a fit of rage, causing a young boy on a tricycle who lives next door to stare in amazement. Bird, who was Pixar's first outside director, developed the film as an extension of the 1960s comic books and spy films from his boyhood and personal family life. He pitched the film to Pixar after Warner Bros.' box office disappointment of his first feature, The Iron Giant (1999), and carried over much of its staff to develop The Incredibles. The animation team was tasked with animating an all-human cast, which required creating new technology to animate detailed human anatomy, clothing, and realistic skin and hair. Michael Giacchino composed the film's orchestral score. Syndrome was originally written as a minor character who assaults Bob and Helen at the beginning of the movie, only to die in an explosion that destroys the Parrs' house (in this version, the Smiths), but he was made the main antagonist because the filmmakers liked him more than the character of Xerek, who was intended to fulfill that role. The Snug character that Helen talks to at the phone in the final film was intended to fly Helen to Nomanisan Island and to die, but he was removed from that position when Lasseter suggested having Helen pilot the plane herself. [19] [20] Syndrome was based on Brad Bird himself. [21] Casting

Although the Omnidroid v.8 is the eighth Omnidroid made and had "08" on its shell, Mirage refers to it as "9000" at one point. GamesMaster (November 9, 2005). "The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer". GamesRadar+. Archived from the original on January 13, 2022 . Retrieved January 13, 2022. The film's teaser trailer and selected posters show that Mr. Incredible (aka Bob Parr) was to remain overweight for the entire film, but the idea was eventually dropped as the final version shows him overweight only for most of the first hour and more muscular for the rest of the film.
