About this deal
how to finally pursue your acting ambitions in your forties (despite a toddler sh*tting on the stairs during a self-tape audition). I recently read this memoir, and I found it to be both amusing and relatable, as well as having a modern feel to it.
This book lets you know that, if you don’t take yourself too seriously, if you know who you really are and if you love more than you fear; then life is going to be ok. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. I absolutely loved her style of comedy and satire so when I saw that she had a book out I immediately downloaded. I loved how a story would start somewhere and end up somewhere completely different in thought and humour.
I really enjoyed it from the very first page - very funny, and very real throughout and I could relate so pretty much all of it. A poor condition book can still make a good reading copy but is generally not collectible unless the item is very scarce.
I love Clara’s dry wit and I am sure other parents will be able to relate to all the goings on in this book. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Clara is the person I would love to have been friends with at school; we would have had amazing fun. It’s about how TikTok inadvertently gave this middle-class mum a whole new career in her 40s and my subsequent attempt to fulfil my lifelong dream of becoming an actress, it’s ridiculous stories about the perils of white wine and rose gold hair dye, and it’s an ode to the McDonald’s Drive-Thru (and my ongoing efforts to persuade my kids to come with me). Most importantly, Clara shows us that no matter how much we adore our little treasures, life isn’t just about their A, B and bloody Cs.
Plus we all know that smiling and laughing is good for you, so think of this book as a tonic, delivering your daily dose of fun and hysteria! Hilarious and sassy reportage from the front line of the Waitrose (sorry, I mean Sainsbury’s) wine and spirits aisle. At times it was very heavy on the stream of consciousness narrative, which did go on a tangent a lot of the time, not that that's necessarily a bad thing. There was so many laugh out loud moments and my husband got a bit fed up of constantly jumping at me just bursting out laughing randomly. strong>
Most importantly, Clara shows us that no matter how much we adore our little treasures, life isn’t just about their A, B and bloody Cs.I had never heard of Clara Batten, but going by the blurb I had a feeling this book would be right up my street so I jumped at the chance. strong>
