About this deal

In the box, you'll find the EcoFlow Wave 2 Portable Air Conditioner, along with safety instructions, a quick start guide, and a warranty card.

Pair your WAVE 2 with an EcoFlow DELTA 2, and you'll get an astonishing 7 hr run time in WAVE 2 Eco Mode. It wasn’t until the battery ran flat and I turned the AC off – bear in mind my office is quite small and not well insulated – that I saw that this temperature range was a fair slice out of the day’s high. While EcoFlow included a window shim- made of foam and easily mistaken as part of the WAVE 2’s packaging material- in the box, I instead used foam board. The EcoFlow Wave 2 uses R290, a natural pure propane refrigerant with a low environmental impact and no risk of damaging the ozone layer. While on Eco mode, with EcoFlow's exclusive technology of Smart Battery Allocation Algorithm, Wave 2 can balance between cooling mode and fan mode to provide users with an expected long runtime.Using it in maximum mode, I was able to get more than two hours of use out of the system; dropping down to Eco mode boosted this to just shy of eight hours, although sacrificing some cooling ability along the way. has been available in home WiFi devices since – I believe – 2009, and finally settled into a standard around 2015 (there was definitely a weird time when your 5GHz device was “hey maybe this is how 5GHz will work, we don’t even knoooow”). It’s surprisingly powerful and works well in smaller rooms, although those looking to cool a larger space will need to go with a more powerful unit. EocFlow’s documentation claims it will take around 3000 cycles to drop to 80% capacity and the battery itself – perhaps unsurprisingly since it doesn’t have any fans, inlets or outlets – has a slightly better ingress protection rating than WAVE 2, citing IP65. For less money you get a twin-duct system that cools as many rooms as you’re willing to heft it into – including other houses – requires no installation and can be solar/battery powered if you’re so inclined.

The front and back grilles have a mesh to catch larger dust, but there’s no dust or pollen filtration. Keep your EcoFlow Wave charged with up to 200W of solar panels, ideal for outdoor and off-grid adventures. To control the system remotely you must connect it to your home WiFi network and use the EcoFlow app. The WIRED conversation illuminates how technology is changing every aspect of our lives—from culture to business, science to design.Introducing the EcoFlow Wave 2 Add-On Battery, the perfect companion for your EcoFlow WAVE 2 Portable Air Conditioner. A second, rather huge caveat, is that I am not- by any stretch of the imagination- an “outdoorsy” person. It sort-of feels like you should then be able to use the carry handle to lug the whole setup, but I’m not sure the latch mechanism is designed for this.

What I will be doing is determining how well the WAVE 2 manages to reach and maintain a comfortable temperature in a 14 square metre (around 150 square feet) bedroom using both the inlet and outlet hoses to get that ideal, optimum efficiency, dual-hose setup. the installed gross capacity of the photovoltaic system does not exceed or will not exceed 30 kilowatts (peak), according to the Marktstammdatenregister. EcoFlow is perhaps better known for its power stations, such as the EcoFlow Delta 2, but the company is expanding into a wide range of, primarily, battery-powered products, including the EcoFlow Blade robot lawn mower and the Wave 2, its second-generation portable air conditioning unit. Pair your WAVE 2 with an EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max, and you'll get an astonishing 14 hr run time in WAVE 2 Eco Mode. Crank it up to max and it cools far quicker, but it also gets a bit noisier, up to 60 decibels at the loudest. This generally works out to bringing the room temperature down from roughly 28 degrees to around 24 (though, again, I swear it’s much cooler than the thermometer admits) and does so with your windows and door shut. only against the WAVE 2 since the standards better wall penetration and thus generally longer range, coupled with the fact your AC unit is not going to be streaming Avatar, mean you probably want to use 2. Pair your WAVE 2 with an EcoFlow DELTA Max 2000, and you'll get an astonishing 14 hr run time in WAVE 2 Eco Mode.In these modes it will maintain the temperature throughout the night- preventing that awful stuffiness that might have woken you up at 2 AM. There are also two additional modes: Sleep mode, which drops the sound that the unit makes to minimum; and Eco, which drops power consumption (and performance) to last longer.
