About this deal

During the Renaissance, the idea that Hermes Trismegistus was the founder of alchemy gained prominence, and at the same time, the legend of the discovery evolved and intertwined with biblical accounts. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal.

If you are interested in an alternate view of history and/or ancient texts written well before the Bible (around 36,000 years old), this is a great read.

This version of the Emerald Tablet is also found in the Kitab Ustuqus al-Uss al-Thani (Elementary Book of the Foundation) attributed to the 8th-century alchemist Jâbir ibn Hayyân, known in Europe as by the latinised name Geber.
