About this deal

If you should receive a product that has been damaged while in transit please reach out to us here within 2 Days and we will certainly be able to address your concerns. One area of weakeness is the choice of 140mm fans as we want to see PWM models and the same applies to the fan hub which should, in our opinion, be fully PWM.

Should you want to stick to air-based cooling, some Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-14 fans are already factory installed, and that means good ventilation versus fairly little noise. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Curious if anybody has built in either of these and if it seemed like a quality alternative to a server rack. The extra elbow room isn’t the only feature that makes for a smoother building experience – the top panel can be fully removed for completely unhindered interior access, and is interchangeable from sound damped solid steel to filtered ventilation using the included accessory panel.

An essential feature of the Define 7 XL is its dual layout, with which the housing can be adapted to your own needs. Brushed aluminium encases a refined front door design with dual-handed reversible hinges and magnetic latching. The mainboard tray of the Fractal Design Define 7 XL has space for small Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, regular ATX and protruding motherboards in E-ATX and even EE-ATX format. These are connected to the integrated Nexus + 2 fan hub, to which a total of nine fans can be connected. This Nanoxia DS8 Pro looks suspiciously like a slightly cheaper German knock-off the Swedish-designed Define 7.

Define 7 XL also comes with two universal multi-brackets, a newly designed part that converts any unused fan position (of the eleven available in total) to an HDD, SSD, pump, or reservoir mount. The only improvement I would have liked would be to have the psu shroud removable to give access to better organise the cables. millimeter jack sockets, one of which functions as a headphone output and the other as a microphone input. It has been a long time since Fractal release an XL series case, with their Define XL R2 being the company’s last entry into this niche market.KitGuru says: We've waited a long time for an update of Define R6 and Fractal has delivered a stellar case for 2020. It is a matter of personal taste that Phanteks does a slightly better job with the EvolvX however Fractal is streets ahead of most of its competition.

Please note: With the help of a dedicated fan controller, we assign either 5 Volts or 12 Volts to the fans installed in the chassis. The Big Tower combines a straightforward look, which is characterized by smooth exterior surfaces and a clear design language, with extensive interior adjustment options, which allow a high degree of flexibility in the configuration of the system and excellent expandability. We give a brief run down of the larger Define 7 XL in our video, although the main focus of our review is the mid-tower Define 7.That said, most users of this chassis won’t be building with both water cooling and HDD storage space in mind.

Often you'll see massive active fan solutions that can indeed get rid of the heat, yet all the fans these days make the PC a noisy son of a gun. The world of cases is filled with a wondrous variety, with manufacturers offering enclosures of all shapes and sizes.
