Since its launch a few years ago, Couture has become one of the most sought after sugarpastes in the UK. In the past, I've always bought a different brand and I only bought this sugarpaste because I wasn't able to get my usual brand. It is important to knead well before use to activate the gums for best performance - the ultra-fine icing sugar creates a 'dense' paste which, in cooler weather, may feel difficult to knead.It has completely changed the way I decorate cakes and looking back at old photos I am convinced my cakes now have a better finish with cleaner edges and smoother surfaces. I did need a lot of the colouring because it was a purply-black rather than a true black, but I didn't have any problems and this was definitely the best looking cake covering I've ever done. Couture is great to work with and some of the girls in the group say it's even better since Cake Stuff did some improvements.
