About this deal

Very sweet and realistic sounding amps and boxes (+24 custom IR slots), extremely intuitive and easy to use - no need to read manuals really. The NUX MG-30 offers a broad overview of the most popular effects, which can be easily edited, arranged and controlled in real-time. From clear and tight US classics of the Fifties and Sixties to juicy Brit sounds and high-gain metal, there is a wide selection of different basic sounds for electric guitar, Bass and even acoustic guitars with 25 different amps, which can be combined with 8 pre-installed cabinets for guitar and bass and 8 microphones with three different positions each.

Real-time Editing - Real-time editing uses rotary encoders and switches, making for a natural and organic process and all parameters and graphics are displayed on a vibrant 4" colour display. I've also owned the lower end stuff including POD (x3 and hd), Korg AX1500, Boss GT-8/10, Korg Pandora and a Zoom 505. I don’t think one should dial in at gig volumes…you should dial in against a good reference…and on good reference speakers. and I wouldn't necessarily ditch the post EQ for post amp sim tone shaping, even if it's not really flexible.Pic 2 below shows its response captured between its output transformer and cab, when the amp was excited by a polyphonic signal. If you are approved for a credit limit with PayPal Credit and use it for future purchases, the APR for those purchases wont be more than 23.

I haven't had a lot of time to mess with it lately, so I responded off the top of my head, without even being in the same city as my MG-30. It disables the volume pedal BUT can send the signal to a regular amp while the same signal keeps feeding the amp simulation inside the MG. I'll be running it into a pair of lightweight Fun Generation 12-inch, two way PA speakers, another Thomann house brand, that I already own. This condensed technology puts an infinite number of possible sounds and combinations at your fingertips, with studio quality. In addition to creating headphone-specific EQ, you'll need to do a little work with a quality small-room reverb sim. With its highly readable 4-inch color LCD display, navigation joystick and quality knobs, you have clear and easy control over your presets and all on-board simulation settings. I would really like such a "flat" option just by setting a flag in the global options or something like that.

And beware the "volume" matter (just increasing 1 or 2 dB the volume or the treble frequencies will mislead your judgement because you will like more that louder preset). PIC 5: shows the Para EQ settings that I've used to flatten as much as possible the response of the MG30 from the guitar input when it's in STUDIO DIRECT output mode .PIC 5 shows what the crude resonant peak of a guitar pickup becomes through the MG-30, all FX's disabled, when other output modes are selected: COMBO FRONT, STACK FRONT, COMBO REAR, STACK REAR. The Princeton is nice but it has something in common with the SLO: a big bass boost, reminding the impedance peak measured between output and loudspeaker(s) of some tube amps.

The original EQing curve of "Studio direct" output mode becomes a bonus in this case since it tightens the bass under high gain. Included in the collection are: 25 electric guitar amp models, 2 acoustic amp models, 3 bass amp models. I haven't had an MG30 in a while, but I think I remember that some patches were meant to be used with an amp and didn't have them. Otherwise, an aux input for playback devices and a headphone jack are available to allow bedroom shredders to practice and perfect riffs and song ideas silently.

PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH. Id go for the hx stomp, nux sent me an mg30 and id say they're ok, whereas the Line 6 stuff does hold up really well with all the expensive stuff. Legendary Guitar Amps - Not only does the MG-30 have effects on-board, but it also has 25 different amp emulations meaning you could play a gig with just this unit and your guitar. The unit only has capacity for one external switch and if you plug your favourite expression pedal in, you won't be able to use the extra 2 button footswitch they provide, which is pretty much a must if you're going to gig this thing. They put out about 5 V apiece with a lot of current behind them, which I guess it sort of gets halved in the series connection, but nothings perfect.
