The Sennheiser HD 660s seem like a pretty good option for consuming the more spacious sound that these are well known for. On the other hand, some may find the HD 58X Jubilee to be very tight and not as comfortable as the HD 660 S. The HD600 was 300 ohm impedance and had 97dB sensitivity, but the HD660S is 150 ohm impedance (for impedance a lower number means easier to drive) and 104dB sensitivity (for sensitivity a higher number means easier to drive). The open design of the HD 660S means that they won’t block work environment noises and will also leak quite a lot, which will be disturbing to people surrounding you.

You will probably have to swap the pads out every year or so to ensure that they continue to deliver their intended sound. The HD 660S’ packaging is definitely on the more minimalistic side, but it does include just about everything you need to start listening. The HD 600-series from Sennheiser is, without a doubt, one of the most successful audiophile headphone lines ever created.Its speedy response is perfectly suited for reproducing those frequency-stretching recordings with confidence.

I’m a fan of the new, warmer color, and think it’s appropriate for the bassier balance we hear on the HD 660S2. The HD 660s has been created to enjoy music in supreme quality and from many different audio sources.The HD 600 and HD 650 have for well over a decade been considered one of, if not the best headphone available. I also used them in tandem with a range of kit including a Chord Mojo, TC Electronics BMC-2 and a Naim Uniti Atom.

For the mids I do not adjust anything at all, as I think that they match preference almost perfectly. You either like or hate the typical Sennheiser design but I think Sennheiser made a wise choice tuning the already existing design.
