But it's a deceiving lightness, on the surface only and ultimately an illusion and underneath this pseudo lightness is actually a darker, denser perfume than addict, but these two more extreme sides balance out to give off a vibe that is just like addict. It doesn't smell like that, but to suggest a similar picture: remove the cold cream scent, heat the perfume up, sweeten it to no end with rich, almost greasy vanilla, and add anise, orchid and iris. And even Snowwhite will sometimes secretly spray this juice, it's that good :D It's quite unique,too. In my head this is what the beautiful Owens sister witches in the cult classic, "Practical Magic" smell like.

Fortunately, those don't last and I am left with a slightly sweet vanilla/tonka that has very little, if any, saffron in it. I got a soft, powdery spiced vanilla with a "cold" lily in the background, smells sophisticated and lovely but far too mainstream. The opening is addictively delicious with its thick burst of rich, juicy oranges dipped in herbs and spice, this lasts a while, and then it dries down a little sweeter, more powdery and balmy, cleaner and woodsy.Almost similar to a patchouli note, but not as musky sour or eternal as patchouli, more herbal like a garden or spice rack. The reason I've spent thousands on a scent library, houndrends on education (literally studying perfume), mixing own formulations.

Having said that, I had a sachet of Ange ou Demon, and therefore the concentration on the back of my hand is more concentrated, compared to Love Generation Rock, which I sprayed - so the perfume was diffused over a greater area. Among the many "summer skin scents" I tried, this one gave the most of that effect, and I never expected such a result from Ange ou Demon. It's perfect for sexy women who know the difference between elegance and vulgarity, but who also know the exact time to choose which one to use.Ange ou Demon is unlike any other fragrance I've smelled, and I'd say I've smelled quite a lot of them. I am not very good at describing notes, maybe because I am not all that interested in always dissecting them; I like it to remain whole.

I am not going to describe either perfume in any depth - my input isn't necessary, as others have done so far better than I could. Years have passed and I have forgotten it as it was way too perfume-y and too oriental for my taste. I remember the old formulation being so rich and deep that one spray was enough to see you through the day or night, on my skin at least.The trace is dominated by two woodsy notes: creamy rosewood and dense oak moss absolute, while the powdery and sensual Tonka and vanilla end the composition. Nothing I've sampled smells quite like this, it's very unique but not so shockingly different that it's difficult to wear. We can all appreciate the artistry of the Mona Lisa, but not all of us want a replica of it hanging in our living rooms.
