Work Accident – scaffolding – £18,000

Accident Work Compensation – £12,500 – shoulder Injury

The accident at work claim was made when a worker in a supermarket had a horrific fall in an aisle of a supermarket when passing by to stack a shelf. The accident was caused by a bottle that had been knocked off the shelf causing spillage on the floor.

He was advised by the doctor to get plenty of rest for the shoulder to recover. He returned to work within 1 month and was initially placed on light duties.  He returned to his pre-accident level of work within 9 months and made a 90% recovery within 18 months from the accident.
 
There was some permanent damage to his shoulder where he would experience pain when extending his arm.  The expert confirmed this injury was unlikely to improve and was therefore permanent.
