A 54-year-old man was left hospitalised for 16 days post-accident due to a fall from his lorry and still carried on with his job for 2 days after the incident occurred until the pain become some bad he was unable to walk.
The claimant was admitted to hospital were he spent 16 days. He had a CT scan which showed he had degenerative changed in the lumbar spine and a disc prolapse. Due to these injuries the claimant took part in several sessions of physiotherapy, a tens machine, a lumbar epidural injections and strong medication.
Unfortunately he was unable to return to work due to his injuries.
A few years after the accident the claimant had to under go a disc fusion operation which relieved numbness he was suffering with on the left hand side of his back but still left him with severe Back Pain.
