The best indoor DAB aerial can breathe new life into your radio system, giving you more channels and tunes to listen to. The question is, which Indoor DAB radio aerial is best for you?

This slightly quirky aerial has the same features as the Pro Flat with the added ability to adjust the loop element to boost reception. How much should I spend on an indoor aerial? The best indoor DAB aerial can make it easier to listen to the channels that you enjoy most, without distortion or lag. Additionally, many of the leading indoor DAB aerials on the market also make it easier to access free television channels too. Moreover, the picture won’t be ruined by interference from cell towers or other sources as this model uses a 4G filter to keep the unwanted signals away. This means your final image on the TV won’t be filled with noise or corrupted even if the actual signal isn’t as strong as it could be. Using this telescopic DAB aerial indoors is unlikely to boost your television reception or give you access to new channels that you didn’t have before, like the RGTech option that we covered above.Although you might need to spend an hour or two figuring out how to use the antenna at first – as it’s a little different from a standard aerial – it’s well worth the effort. The 3G/4G LTE filter built into the aerial also means that you can listen to the music and shows that you love with very little interference too. The installation features aside, let’s take a closer look at the specifications of the device. The aerial covers all standard frequencies from FM radio to UHF. Without a dedicated amplifier, the unit is capable of delivering up to 10 dBi, which is more standard for full-sized antennas, rather than for a small aerial. With a plug-and-play performance that allows you to start scanning for channels as soon as you take the product out of its box, the One For All indoor antenna is a great addition to any home. As an ideal portable model for weak signal areas, the Ottaim aerial can be installed in a yacht, camper van, and even a car if you have enough space on the ceiling for higher reception. Furthermore, the device can be connected to your TV using the F male or IEC male cables. In case your device doesn’t have these ports, you can use the USB connection instead, which makes small TVs widely compatible with the aerial.

If you’d prefer the loop functionality of One For All’s SV9465, SLx additionally sells an antenna designed around a globe, so it blends better into your home. Unfortunately it doesn't work brilliantly, just average. With my older antenna I could receive 148 TV and DAB stations including seven HD TV channels. With the RGTech Monarch 50 I can only find 100 channels and none of the HD TV channels are available. I've tried it in multiple locations in the house and it isn't really any better than a plain old "rabbit ears" set top aerial. I'm disappointed as had expected performance to be at least as good and probably better. Our choice as the overall best indoor TV aerial is the RGTech Monarch 50 due to its support for 4K broadcasts, its long cable, and its light weight and flexibility. If you merely want to watch Freeview channels though, then an indoor TV aerial offers a practical and cheap solution. Moreover, if you are too far from any broadcast towers, it is worth noticing that the curvature of the earth begins to impact TV signal reception at 70 miles of distance. That means that even if your aerial can potentially reach such a distance, the signal you'd get may not be entirely clear. The reception range is also significantly less than the other models reviewed here. Its specifications list the range as 25 miles plus compared to the 50 miles offered by the other aerials here. This is something you need to bear in mind if you live further than this from a TV transmission tower.

There’s no one-size-fits-all solution for the best indoor DAB aerial. Your choice will be based on a series of factors, including what kind of functionality you need from the best DAB aerial. resolution is now a bare minimum HD standard for a TV aerial so look for a product that supports at least this. The actual resolution support you need will obviously depend on the capabilities of the TV to which you’re going to be connecting it.

Make the most of your signal and get HD TV with the best indoor TV aerial available

Virtually every new TV today comes with a Freeview tuner, an internal antenna that will allow viewers to get a wide range of channels without the need for a subscription or additional devices.
