About this deal

The story, other than alcoholism, tackles issues like the overpopulation of cities and the pollution of the environment. Which I thought was the whole point of the story, he just has a few drinks at the beginning then about 3/4 digs a little deeper in the bottle. It overall makes this book disappointing, because the way people talk about it, and the cover, you kind of expect "Demon in a Bottle", to be the whole thing; and while the build up of the addiction is cool, its not really enough to be satisfied!

But all these events took a terrible toll on Stark as he starts drinking even more and he snapped at his faithful butler Jarvis which leds to him to resign as Tony Stark's butler. They tell him the tank was thrown by Namor, who was defending a resident of the island that the soldiers were trying to remove, because the island is used as a toxic waste disposal site. Este tomo recopila 9 revistas de la colección del personaje, historias que llevan al mítico "Demonio en una botella".

Overall, I believe that this is a very good comic and an essential read for every fan of Iron Man or superhero comics in general.

It's a bit heavy-handed, sure, and full of the flaws that all socially-conscious comic books of the 1970s had, but it's a solid story with surprisingly subtle characterization and a truly kickass female lead (where has Bethany Cabe gone in the comics? When the storyline was collected in trade paperback in 1984 and 1989, it was published under the title The Power of Iron Man. This is one of the rare books that I liked the art and story much more than the dialogue or plot: Layton, JRJR, and Infantino are all great artists and I like their take on Iron Man (and his crew). Stark later receives and agrees to a request for Iron Man to represent his company, Stark International, at a public ceremony and meet with a foreign ambassador. This is a much better representation than DC's handling because this doesn't belittle the sufferer and it's from their POV - not an outsider with a hell of a lot of contempt for the sufferer.Stark secretly dons the Iron Man armor he carries in his briefcase, flies out of the plane, and guides it to a safe landing in the ocean. D. while Iron Man is being targeted by the man who would eventually become his biggest foe, Justin Hammer (this story is his first appearance in Marvel Comics). When the "Demon in a Bottle" storyline originally ran in 1978 the average comic book reader was closer to 10-12 years old; much younger than the 25-30 year olds who make up the bulk of comic book readers now. It's certainly not a light story, but it has a lot of humor and some of the jokes actually made me laugh.

His armor malfunctions again, causing him to fire a repulsor blast at the ambassador and leaving him dead. Hailstone said Romita's artwork is "as good as anything in his long career," and concluded that "while it might not deal with the consequences of addiction in the same powerful ways as films like French Connection II—this is a comic, after all—having re-read the tale almost 20 years on, it holds up amazingly well. Montes of the Weekly Comic Book Review said, "Iron Man was never known for having engaging stories, but in this one rare case it happened and that is why we treasure it. I can't help but compare the handling of this story about addiction to the less than impressive "Snowbirds Don't Fly" storyline in DC comics. The casino gets attacked by 3 B list or even C list villains and once again, Tony can't rest, because he has to fight them. Because it came out as a monthly comic back in the late 70s, in almost every issue they need to give a short recap of the things that happened in the previous issues. All'epoca la storia fece furore: era decisamente un passo importante nel concetto Marvel di super eroe con super problema. I'd recommend this to anyone, with any level of Iron Man knowledge, particularly movie fans looking for a place to jump into the comics.
